A Family Day Trip to Kunthipuzha, Mannarkad: Nature, Fun, and Togetherness

On September 8, 2022, my family and I set out for a delightful one-day trip to Kunthipuzha in Mannarkad. This beautiful river destination in Kerala promised a day filled with natural beauty, fun activities, and precious family time. Accompanied by my wife Suneera, our elder daughter Fathima Haniya, and our younger daughter Fadiya Mariyam, we were all excited to explore and enjoy the serene environment.
The Journey to Kunthipuzha
We began our journey early in the morning, with everyone eager to experience the beauty of Kunthipuzha. The drive was scenic, with lush greenery and picturesque landscapes making the trip enjoyable. Fathima and Fadiya were particularly excited, their curiosity and anticipation evident as we approached our destination.
Arrival and First Impressions
Upon arriving at Kunthipuzha, we were greeted by the sight of the tranquil river flowing gently through the landscape. The clear waters and the serene surroundings instantly captivated us. We found a nice spot by the river to set up and take in the beauty of the place.
Enjoying the River
Fathima and Fadiya were thrilled to be near the water. We spent some time watching the river, appreciating the calmness and the natural beauty around us. The girls loved dipping their feet in the cool water and exploring the riverbank, finding interesting stones and shells. Suneera and I joined them, creating little splashes and enjoying the refreshing feel of the river.
Capturing the Moments
With the picturesque setting of Kunthipuzha, we couldn’t resist capturing the moments. We took numerous photos of the river, the surrounding greenery, and our joyful family moments. The girls were eager to pose for pictures, their smiles reflecting the happiness of the day. These photos became beautiful mementos of our lovely trip.
Refreshing Drinks and Relaxation
As the day grew warmer, we decided to take a break and enjoy some refreshing drinks. We had brought along a variety of drinks to keep ourselves hydrated and energized. Sitting by the river, sipping our drinks, and chatting about the day’s experiences was a perfect way to relax and soak in the peaceful environment.
Fun at the Grassland
Adjacent to the river was a lush grassland that caught our attention. We spent some time here, letting the girls run around and play. The open space and the fresh air added to the joy of the day. Suneera and I watched them with delight, enjoying their laughter and playful antics. The grassland provided a perfect spot for a leisurely family picnic and some fun activities.
A Day to Remember
After spending several hours enjoying the river, taking photos, and relaxing in the grassland, it was time to head back home. The trip to Kunthipuzha had been a wonderful experience, filled with natural beauty, family bonding, and joyful moments. We returned home with our hearts full and our minds refreshed, grateful for the special day we had spent together.
